Paint Correction & Protection Pricing
**Prices may vary on make, model, and condition of vehicle
Paint Enhancement - $350*
An Enhancement on the paint corrects about 50% of the swirls and marring and brings back depth and clarity to the paint for a budget friendly correction.
Single-Step Paint Correction - $500*
This is a more controlled Correction, Utilizing a cut and polish in a single pass. We move slower on the panel allowing even more correction to take place. You can expect 65%+ Swirls and Marring to be removed.
Multi-Step Paint Correction - $850*
This process removes 80%+ of your swirls and marring. Starting with a slow controlled pass over the entire car with a cutting compound, then removed and cleaned again we do a second controlled pass with a Polishing compound. This creates even more depth in the paint and increases the clarity of the paint even more over the other levels.
Paint Correction Questions
Paint correction is a process that removes surface imperfections such as swirls, marring, and minor scratches from your vehicle’s paint, restoring its clarity and shine. It involves precise polishing techniques to refine the paint’s surface without adding or removing paint.
Paint Repair vs. Paint Correction:
It’s important to note that paint correction is not paint repair. Paint correction improves the existing paint by addressing flaws on the surface. Paint repair, on the other hand, involves fixing chips, deep scratches, or areas where paint is missing or damaged. If your vehicle needs paint repair, that service must be completed before any paint correction work begins.
Depending on what service is chosen, paint correction can involve a meticulous, multi-step process to achieve optimal results:
Preparation:
- The vehicle is washed and decontaminated to remove dirt, debris, and surface contaminants.
- Clay bar treatment is often used to ensure the paint surface is completely smooth.
Inspection:
- The paint is carefully examined under strong lighting to identify swirls, scratches, and marring that need correction.
Polishing:
- A cutting compound is applied to remove imperfections.
- Depending on the level of correction, additional passes are made with finer polishing compounds to refine the paint and enhance clarity.
Final Touches:
- After correction, the paint is cleaned again and protected with a sealant or ceramic coating to maintain the results.
The cost of paint correction varies based on the level of service required and the size of the vehicle. At Mobile Express Carwash, our prices start at:
- Paint Enhancement – $350: Removes approximately 50% of swirls and marring for a noticeable improvement in paint clarity.
- Single-Step Correction – $500: Removes over 65% of swirls and imperfections with a cut-and-polish process.
- Multi-Step Correction – $850+: Achieves 80%+ correction, ideal for show cars and luxury vehicles (not recommended for daily drivers).
